Third Annual Walk This Way at Virginia Palmer Elementary School
October 8, 2008

Virginia Palmer was one of 7 schools in Reno/Sparks that participated in Walk This Way, a program sponsored by FedEx, Safe Kids Washoe County and Safe Kids USA.  The program is designed to educate both children and their parents about safe walking.  Students at Virginia Palmer participated in a drawing contest, and as they walked to school, volunteers from Reno Sunrise Rotary, St. Mary's,  The Nevada Army National Guard, and Virginia Palmer teachers talked to students and parents about safe walking.
