The 1st Annual Virginia Palmer Safety and Health fair was held on May 10, 2007. Participants included Reno Fire Department, Washoe County Sheriff's Office, Washoe County Search and Rescue, REMSA, Kids to Seniors Korner, Safe Kids Washoe County, Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, Kiwanis Bicycle Program, Nevada Highway Patrol and Sierra Pacific Power Company
