The Basl’s and Lindeken’s continue their travels from Pisa to Viareggio for Carnivale and Riomaggiore in Cinqueterre. This six parade Carnivale event over two weeks is considered as one of the top four Carnivale’s with Rio de Janeiro, Venice, Viareggio and New Orleans. The floats are some of the largest in the world for Carnivale. We had to still look up from our third floor balcony. If you come to this bucket list event, book the President Hotel Viareggio on the parade route, and ask for room 203 or 303 seafront balcony, and if you bring friends also book the largest room at 206 or 306 as the party room.
