The program this morning was presented by Angela Francis, the CEO of Nevada Math, whose mission is to create the culture and provide the opportunities needed for kids in grades 1-12 to develop and flourish into world class mathletes and problem solvers.
Nevada Math makes learning math fun, and helps students understand that math is more than just working with numbers.
They define math as the creative application of logic to solve complex problems and believe everyone can do math and there are multiple ways to approach the same problem.
Nevada Math holds family math nights, classes, and STEM camps. They also prepare students to compete in math competitions.
