Last Friday's Social Event was the Ice Hockey Game featuring the Reno Ice Raiders versus Chicago Top Shelf. Unfortunately tickets for the event sold out quickly, so some members weren't able to attend.
The atmosphere at the event was great and the fans were pleasant, polite and happy. I was surprised by the family fun feel of the event. Attendees lined up early with their kids to get in early and secure their favorite seating location. Every seat at the venue provides an excellent view of the action.
I was also surprised by the speed of the game and the amazing skating techniques on display. It has been many years since I have had the opportunity to watch hockey live. My last time was many years ago at a St. Louis Blues game.
If you have never seen a hockey game live or haven't seen one recently, you owe it to yourself to take advantage of our local opportunity. One tip: Dress warm and bring a seat pad for ultimate comfort!
