We heard from two speakers last week, Andrew Sauls and Sinjen Smith from Green Vibe, a Reno-based non-profit that organizes community trash and pollution pick ups to improve the sustainable health of our environment. 

 

Over the last three years they have recruited over 900 volunteers to participate in 35 cleanup projects resulting in the removal of 110,000 pounds of trash from the Lake Tahoe and throughout the Truckee River corridor.  They incentivize both young and old to do the right thing for our environment.

Martha Greene described our Angel Tree program for Juniper Elementary School.  This is our chance to bring a little joy to the less fortunate children in our community this Christmas.
