This is a group photo of the Reno Sunrise Rotary Club Storm Water Drain Stenciling Crew which consisted of the following individuals from left to right: Craig Sande, David Geddes, Charlie Fettig, Lynn Clark, Daniel Moss (City of Reno), and Jon Greene.  We all enjoyed bagels and coffee at the Fettig's before hitting the streets in two groups.  We managed to expertly stencil 83 storm drains in the neighborhood and handed out many pamphlets to residents explaining the importance of protecting our watershed by not dumping into the drains.

 

 

 

 

 

Heather Reich, biologist for the Nevada Department of Wildlife, specializes in our state's black bear population.  She gave a great talk about our bear population, behavior and management.  Everyone enjoyed the talk and had many follow-up questions for her.  Berry Courtney shared videos of bears in his front and back yard which were captured on a Ring video surveillance system.  You may see the video here: https://youtu.be/g7V-llq1Bl4

 

John Albrecht has been enjoying a cross-country trip, as seen here during a drive through “Land between us he Lakes” in northwestern Tennessee.  In the background are grazing bison.  We look forward to John's return and the associated stories about his epic trip.
