Bluegrass Festival 2023
Reno Sunrise Rotary Club sold beer and wine at the Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival on August 25 and 26.

It was quite enjoyable interacting with the attendees and listening to bluegrass from the comfort of our shaded location.  President Lynn will inform everyone of the funds generated which will support the Reno Sunrise Rotary Club Charitable Foundation.

Please thank the members that volunteered for the project, including President Lynn Clark, Carolyn Abend, Steve Schroder, Steve Bamberger, Jim Van Winkle, John Albrecht, Ed Basl, Jon Greene, Martha Greene, Cara Koeritz, Doug Hill, Hans Scheurer, Harvey Miller and Craig Sande.

Between event days, the beer was kept cold in the cold room of Chris Winkel, a friend of Craig Sande.  Thank you Chris!

September Community Service
Our September Community Service project will be working with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) on Saturday, September 16th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Everyone who wishes to participate must sign up individually at the following link:  https://www.ktmb.org/volunteer

We would like to do this as a group and have our club sign up for volunteering at the Downtown Reno Site.

After clicking on the above link, please scroll down to "Downtown Reno" and click on the "Book" link. I found I had to scroll down several blank pages before the signup page was visible. Please register early as these spots can fill up rapidly.

Also, if you have one, please wear your RSR shirts and hats as this will be a wonderful opportunity to advertise our club in the community.
New "Donate" Button on Website

If you open our website, https://www.renosunrise.org, you will see the donate button on the top right (see above image).  Clicking on the button will take you to a page with three options:
  1. Reno Sunrise Rotary Club Dues Payment or Donation
  2. Reno Sunrise Rotary Charity Foundation
  3. Rotary International Foundation
Now if you want to pay club dues, donate to the club's operations, donate to the club's foundation, or make a contribution to Rotary International (e.g. Annual Fund, Polio Plus, Other Causes, or to any of the Areas of Focus), you may do so online and receive confirmation through email for your records.
New Host for Club's Website
You may not have noticed, but our club's website is now being hosted by ClubRunner, the official website provider for our district, instead of GoDaddy.  This provides a more seamless arrangement for our club.  If ClubRunner makes any necessary changes to their service, they will make sure that the website hosting parameters are changed for optimum and consistent results.

We also have 5 forwarding email addresses which can be changed annually to correspond to officer changes.

This change won't affect your experience with our website.  If anyone has questions, please direct them to me and I will provide or find the answer for you.
