Our presenter this morning was Chad Kingsley, MD, MBA, the District Health Officer for Northern Nevada Public Health, which is responsible for protecting the health of about 500,000 County residents and 4.5 million annual visitors.

Preventing disease is often under appreciated as the public is unaware of what their lives would be like without the important preventative measures.  As the Department Health Officer, Dr. Kingsley is looking out for the health of our community.  

Just a few of the important services provided include: air quality monitoring and reporting, immunization administration and record keeping, food safety services, surveillance of infectious diseases, injury prevention, maternal child health program, and maintaince of birth and death certificates.
