Lisa Ross is the Community Relations Officer for Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. Last year volunteers contributed over 57,000 hours to their cause. Two thrift shops provide the majority of their funding. They run two dining halls that provide 1,400 meals per day to those in need. They also run several food pantries. Their social workers help their clients find housing and employment. Their Elevating Families program is designed to help families end generational poverty. The program is affiliated with Notre Dame University. They have a Sober Living program which provides men with sober housing, workforce development and financial skills. |
