The University of Nevada is starting a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. The new director of the program, Daryl Lawson, told us about the new program. Currently Daryl is working to receive preliminary program accreditation, and to hire the faculty and staff. The goal is to admit the first group of 40 students for the 2027 - 28 academic year. A part of the School of Public Health, it will be one of only 5 programs in the United States that will offer a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and sports training certificate. The program will also work with the rural Nevada communities, and will have a research component.
