In this project every month each congregation is assigned different foods to gather from their members. Near the end of each month the food is assembled and distributed directed to the households. Each month the bag contains cereal, vegetables, fruit, tuna, macaroni and cheese, crackers, and powdered milk. In December and January, the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise donated up to $1000 to purchase additional food for the bags. In December the money was used to buy sweet potatoes, apple sauce, tuna, and tomato soup. Also, President Berry Courtney along with 6 other Rotarians helped assemble the bags. The churches participating are St. Luke's, Good Shepherd, Our Savior, Lord of Mercy, Holy Cross and Faith. Our Club will be purchasing food for the January distribution, also.
