Three Reno Sunrise members and one friend of Reno Sunrise were in Los Barriles, Baja California Sur working with a Rotary medical project. The Rotary clubs of Los Barriles and Nevada City are the partner Rotary clubs for this annual screening. Over a period of 3 days approximately 700 children had a medical screening. This is the 14 year for this program.

Reno Sunrise members Dave, Jon, and Martha along with Dr. Frank Caffaratti, DDS joined a group of Nevada City Rotarians to help with the screening. Two teams went to various schools for the screenings. Each team had a physician, a dentist, and Rotarians to perform the screenings. The non-medical participants did vision tests, blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, and several others. Working with a local medical clinic, East Cape Health Center, the students will receive the necessary follow up care. During their time in Los Barriles, Jon and Martha presented the Reno Sunrise banner to the Rotary Club of Los Barriles. And this morning Martha, Jon, Frank, and Dave gave reports on their experiences.
