Nathan Brimm, RN, joined us for this morning's meeting. Nathan is the President of Dignified Aging Strategies Nathan and his team help to guide those who are caring for an aging loved one. While he primarily talked about the services that Dignified Aging offers, he stressed several times that there are other similar services available. Many of his clients live out of the area and they are trying to care for someone who lives in Northern Nevada.
The services that are offered are personalized to the needs of the family. They can include reviewing medical reports, accompanying someone to a doctor's appointment. Acting as an advocate for the client. Helping choose a rehabilitation facility, or an assisted living facility, or a hospice program.
For many care givers the day to day requirements can be both physically and emotionally draining. Nathan and his team can help ease the burden of being a care giver. For example, they can arrange for someone to stop by a client's home on a regular basis to check that medications are being taken as directed and that the person is eating healthy meals.
