Last Meeting - Ila Achtabowski, Nevada Woman's Fund

Ila Achtabowski is the Executive Director of the Nevada Woman's Fund. The organization was founded in 1982 by by concerned women who wanted the best for the women and families of northern Nevada.

They provide scholarships to deserving women who have proven academic performance and financial needs. Many of their scholarship recipients are re-entry women and single mothers who have not had the opportunity to complete their educations due to family issues and/or financial constraints.

A Moving Presentation by Irene Perbal at the Foundation Dinner

Members of Reno Sunrise Rotary at the 5190 Foundation Dinner last Friday. Irene Perbal gave a moving presentation on her experiences as a young girl who survived the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam during World War II.

At the event our President-Elect, Lynn Clark, received recognition for achieving Major Donor Level II. Congratulations Lynn!

Next Meeting - April 7

We are DARK on March 31. The Purple Parrot Crew will be having a breakfast at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino, Please note, there will be no newsletter submitted next week.
