Next Speaker - JoJo Townsell
On Friday we are fortunate to have JoJo Townsell speak to the club.  He was a local student-athlete who played football for Hug High School, then went on to play for UCLA followed by two seasons with the USFL and seven seasons with the the New York Jets.

Following his playing days JoJo returned to his native Nevada where he and his wife, Suzi, founded the non-profit MEFIYI Foundation. Standing for Me-For-Incredible-Youth, Inc., its mission is to promote, encourage and support amateur athletics, recreation programs and physical fitness for students with simultaneous emphasis on the importance of an education.

The program starts with middle school age kids and gets them to understand the importance of planning for their future. The early preparation helps them prioritize their life. It gets them to understand what things that they need to do as they go from the grade level to high school graduation in order to reach their goals.

District Governor Presentation

At our last meeting on November 4, District Governor Jeff Gabriel gave an inspirational presentation.  He described a moving experience for him while carrying out a Rotary project that was life changing.  He finally understood what it meant to be a Rotarian.  It was great to have him and his wife, Jane, visit our humble club at Swill Coffee and Wine.
Thank You Fettigs for Hosting our District Governor

Charlie and Aggie Fettig kindly hosted our board meeting with District Governor Jeff Gabriel.  Their warm and inviting home was the perfect venue for having a comfortable meeting to discuss Rotary affairs.
Quiet Rotarian Award - Carolyn Abend

District Governor Jeff presented Carolyn Abend with the Quiet Rotarian Award for her service to the club.  Carolyn is an intelligent, humble, and quiet person who is essential to the smooth operation of the club.  She presently serves as our club secretary and also treasurer for our charitable foundation.  Congratulations Carolyn!
Heart of Service Award - Charlie Fettig

District Governor Jeff presented Charlie Fettig with the Heart of Service Award.  Charlie is the club's "Energizer Bunny" who is always willing to lend a hand.  With his background in construction, he helps make our work projects safe and effective.  We are fortunate to have him in the club.  Congratulations Charlie!
Major Donor Level II - Lynn Clark

District Governor Jeff recognized Lynn Clark for achieving Major Donor Level II status.  Lynn has been a Rotarian since 2000, a Paul Harris Society member since 2017, and Polio Plus sustaining member since 2014.  He gives about 80$ of his annual giving to the Annual Fund and 20% to Polio Plus.  Thank you Lynn for your generosity over the years!  Your support allows Rotary to have major impacts at home and abroad.
