Our speaker today was Luke Sorenson, horticulturist for the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Luke’s family roots in Nevada date back to the 1850s, and landscape design has been a tradition among many of his ancestors.
Luke gave an informative and humorous presentation about one of our community’s hidden gems—the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Garden, located within Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. The arboretum is free to visit and offers a refreshing escape from the summer heat, thanks to its abundant shade and inviting water features.
