Member Doug Hill has always loved reading poetry and gave his reasons why during his presentation last week. He clarified definitions of poems, showed how pervasive they are in our world (political speeches, advertisement jingles, etc.) and shared one of his favorite ones by Robert Frost, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." He also encouraged us to create our own poems. For example, he suggested sending poetic text messages to friends for a change of pace. It is fun and a bit challenging as well. Try it!
