Dana Searcy is the Division Director of Housing and Homeless Services for Washoe County. She described how the Nevada Cares Campus got started during the COVID pandemic and has now grown to a 46,000 sq. ft. facility that was built with funds from the federal government as well as the City of Reno, City of Sparks and Washoe County. It that provides emergency shelter for up to 600 individuals per day. They also provide wrap-around services to provide a path out of homelessness.
