JoJo entertained us with the history of his childhood experiences with sports, his realization of the importance of education to achieve his goals, and eventual success leading to college at UCLA and a 10-year career in professional football. After retirement, he wanted to pass on what he learned to our local youth.
JoJo and his wife, Suzi, started MEFIYI (Me For Incredible Youth, Inc.) in 1997 to build a stronger community and workforce through support of youth sports programs and educational enrichment. MEFIYI partner with local businesses to introduce students in the age group 12-18 to future employment opportunities. Through promotion of youth sports, education, and career building, they enhance the lives of our local students and help provide a strong well-educated workforce for our Nevada businesses.
If you own or know of a business that would want to get involved with our local youth, get in touch with MEFIYI at https://www.mefiyi.org/
